DESCRIPTION:Work on the topic Impact of stress caused by COVID 19 pandemic
on police work and procedures is based on a survey conducted among police
officers of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Croatia. Field research was co
nducted on a sample of 988 police officers in a „paper-pen“ format an
d provides an aspect in current situation and parameters of measure expos
ure and which categories of police officers were exposed to stress in so-c
alled „first wave“ of appearance of virus Covid 19\, and whether there
have been changes in the work and procedures of police officers.\nThe ai
m of the study was to determine to what extent the emergency situation cau
sed by the Covid-19 pandemic was related to changes in the police work and
procedures\, to what extent it was related to stress among police officer
s and whether that situation led to procedure changes or eventually work m
istakes under increased stress. The survey questionnaire used for the rese
arch consisted of four parts\, and thus sociodemographic data were collect
ed\, immediate experiences with Covid 19 and engagement during the epidemi
c were examined. The third part is a modified standardized questionnaire t
hat included 11 stressors and answers offered on a Likert-type scale\, and
the last part is a standardized questionnaire for stress that police offi
cers experienced as a result of stress exposure at work.\nThe results of
the research showed that due to the situation with the pandemic in the Rep
ublic of Croatia there were changes in the police work which impacted on d
ifferent work aspects\, procedures and regular tasks.\n\nKey words: pandem
ic of Covid 19\, police work\, research of stress impact on police officer
 s\, stress consequences
